Tranny started slipping badly out of the blue, fluid is full. Is there a vacuum connection I could check or possibly a valve failure? Maybe a sensor? The tranny has never been serviced as far as I know. If it needs to be rebuilt, is there a resource for detailed instructions? I'm on a seriously tight budget.

Hi:
If you have never had it serviced, I would try that first. The filter could be partially plugged not lowering hyd. Pressure. If that doesn't work, you will need to get a manual designed for your vehicle that has trans O.H. Information in it.

Trully, if you have some mechanical ability, the hardest thing is removing the transmission itself. The trans goes back together the same way you take it apart. Also, if it is still shifting like always, but slipping, the clutch plates are causing it.

How bad does the fluid look?

Joe
