My car had the fuel tank replaced due to the manufacturer defect. Once the tank was replaced, approximately 2 to 3 weeks later the service engine light came on. Took the car back to dealer 2 weeks later and they informed me that it was the fuel pump! IS there something else it could be? Have had it tested by another auto place and it came back to several items, gas cap(replaced) fuel valve and/or solenoid, crack in fuel line. Not sure how to check these and where they are. Help

It sounds like you have an EVAP system leak. It takes some very expensive equipment to test this. Most likely cause is the seal for the fuel pump module. If you just had the fuel tank replaced before the light came on, I would say the tech probably didn't get the seal lined up correctly. I would find out from the dealer what the code number is and why the fuel pump needs replaced. Let me know what they tell you.
