Hello, I have a 1992 Buick Regal with a 3.8L engine. Recently when I start the car up in the morning the engine sputters a little until its been running for a minute or so. I have no noticable loss of power when driving on the highway or otherwise. The car seems to idle fine, a little off but I usually assume its just age. The car is maintained, new plugs/wires, fuel filter, etc. The check engine light has been popping on and off. I use to hear fuel pump noise when I turned the key on before I crank the engine, and I use to hear fuel pump noise after I shut the car off but this noise isn't happening. Can this be a sign of a failing fuel pump or relay? Thanks for your help!

yes it sounds as though your pump is getting weak and allowing pressure to bleed off when parked and shut off.
