1993 Buick Regal Accessing Diagnostic Codes

I have a 93 Regal that has been having problems starting. A new battery has been installed. Occasionally the Service Engine Soon light comes on and stays on. How would reset this and how would I access the diagnostic codes on a car this old. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum, as far as trouble codes, there should be 12 pin datalink, lower edge of dash, driverside ,usually. Use a jumper wire between A & B terminals of datalink connector. Then turn the key to on, no crank. The mil should start flashing, you count the flashes to get the codes. Your looking for two digit codes. A code 24 would be two quick flashes a slight pause then four quick flashes. Each code may repeat three times before moving on.
