I bought this car about 1.5 months ago and it ran fine. Soon after I got it, it was missing and the odd time the only way it would start is if I gave it a shot of gas while it was turning over. Eventually this got allot worse, it would just shut off while I was driving it but then it would just start right back up. Then once I was just driving in town and it shut off, so I tried to start it and it wouldn't so I left it where it stoped (not too far from home). I got it to my house and started inspecting it for reasons why it wouldn't start, I noticed that ther was no spark so I talk to some people and a GM mechanic friend of mine said that it could be the Coil packs and Gave me three used but still good coil packs. I put the all 3 in and went to start it, and nothing. So I decided to reset the computer to try that. I left the battery disconnected for about 15-20 min and I tried it again. It started and went to the cold Idle (1000 RPM) ran for about 3 secs and shut off, Tried to start it agian and nothing. I kept trying to get it to start agian and after a while it did this time I tried to hit the gas to keep it running but it just died as soon as I hit the gas, after a while it ran for 3 secs agian and that was it. I have NO! Idea what the problem could be could someone help me out, I know these 3.8L can be Buggers.
