We have a 1995 Buick Park Avenue that is in great shape. Lately the outside temperature indicator is showing aboiut 30 degrees higher than the actual temperature.

Is there a possibility of a quick and inexpensive fix for this problem?

Have you checked the connection to the temperature sensor mounted in the sheet metal up in front of the radiator? Make sure it reads the correct value before replacing. Or, if you have a friend with a similar model, try swapping the sensors (if they are socketed) and if the fault follows the temperature from your car, and his works in your, replace your sensor.
