90 Buick w/ 184,000 mi. I recently went through a flooded intersection realized the water was too high and backed back out. After that I noticed the cars shakes and shudders violently upon acceleration. If I let off the gas it runs fine, it only shakes on acceleration. Any suggestions??
Ok I've talked with several "car guys" and it seems that it may be the catalytic converter. I know the converter can fouled up from excessive temperature but can it also get damaged from water? That is the only thing I can think of.
