1995 Buick Lesabre Transmission will not shift in

I was told my transmission needs a 3rd shift cylinod because it will drive all the time but it doesn't want to shift as it should. I can tell it is in a strain any suggestions.

Take this to a trans pro, he can scan and see if it actually needs thatsolenoid or not. But with these new transmissions they stay in 2nd gear when there is something wrong.
