Heater problem
2001 Buick Century 6 cyl Automatic 53000 miles

My heater takes forever to heat 20-30 min. The car came from Nevada and I am in Mn. Where is the thermostat located, and how do I change it? Is it possible that my heater core is blocked? The coolant in the car has a red tint to it. Is this a normal color? Or do I need to flush this out?
Thanks

If the car taken long time to reach operating temp
I would say its the thermostat
follow the upper radiator hose to the engine
and that the location of the thermostat
I always found it easier to take the throttle body out
it give the extra room I needed
good luck
