Heater works when outside temp is above 40, or after lots of stops and turns if colder outside. Blows lukewarm at best otherwise, and blows cold if on any fan setting other than low. Summertime it blows hot. Radiator does not hold pressure, although coolant level rarely drops. New cap and thermostat didn't help. Car warms up and runs at normal temp. Heater core does not leak. What the heck? What should I be lokking for? Radiator may have a leak, as there is a small puddle every once in awhile. Have added a gallon of coolant over the last year, no more. Got any ideas?

Do the heater hoses get hot? May need to flush the heater core. Next, I'd have to make sure everything under the dash is working like it should.

I'll have to check on that and get back to you. The hoses are hard to get at especially when the engine is hot, but i'll see if I can get down in there - will let you know what I find out. Wish me luck, and cover me - i'm goin' in!
