Engine Performance problem
1991 Buick Century

my daughter is driving my mom's car, the buick. It was running fine but now the car will not go. It starts ok but will not continue to run like there is no gas going thru. When shifting into reverse or drive it goes out. My mom had the fuel pump changed and also had sensors change which I cant remember what they were. When my daughter would drive it for awhile it would jerk like its ready to go out but will catch again and go, especially @ a stop light. What else could it be if the fuel pump was recently changed? Help?

Use a gage and double check the fuel pressure. Some of the national brand autostores used to loan out a fuel pressure gage, if you don't have one. If it is an idle issue, clean the throttle-body and check the iac. Also, check for applicable trouble codes. You should be able to check for mil codes, use a jumper wire between the A & B terminals of data link connector, turn the key till the dash lites come on, no further. The mil starts flashing, you count the flashes to get the codes. Your looking for two digit codes.
