Brake light on dashboard

Hi,

If the brake light is on, confirm that the brake fluid is full. Now, when you say the brake pedal is both strong and soft, I need some clarification. If it is extremely stiff, that sounds like a problem with the power brake assist system. If it is really soft and goes to the floor, that sounds like a leak or a bad master cylinder.
