Most of the problems seem to have gone away after replacing alternator but I have some shifting issues still but not as bad I need to test that neutral safety switch again and see if it still comes out bad between pin 2 and 7 in drive my main issue now is that if I'm going down a fairly big hill it seems like the brakes are engaging automatically I don't know if its transmission or ABS or what. Help please, thank you.it still relates to my last thread i believe but if anyone else wants back info you can find that here https://www.2carpros.com/questions/neutral-safety-switch-72763346

An easy way to tell if the brakes are causing it or the transmission/drivetrain is to put the car in neutral while going down the hill to see if anything changes, if not then the brakes are to blame. Please run this test so we can go in the right direction for fixing it.

So, it sounds like the transmission is to blame, can you please upload a short video of the problem so I can see? Also, let's run the codes to see if any are stored.

I have seen the input shaft sensor start to go out and cause this kind of issue FYI.

I will work on a video, but no codes come up maint req light is on other than that nothing a video I think will be hard to distinguish it’s more something you feel rather than see because it’s not drastic and there are still some shifting issues.

I wanted to see how severe the problem was, it might be normal, all cars slow down when in the gear and the accelerator is let off.
