Replaced driver side rear caliper and all new brakes. Had no good pedal. Starting with passenger rear I bled all lines and pass side rear makes a squishing noise but nothing comes out except fluid. I bled a quart through the passenger rear which is extreme amount still makes squishing noise when being bled. Pedal still goes to floor but brakes will stop the car. Do I still have trapped air and do I need to keep bleeding until noise goes away?

Hello, I'm Danny.

Yes, it sounds like you still have air trapped in the system. Just so you know whenever a line is opened you need to bleed all four brake calipers. I've attached a tutorial showing what is involved.

Hope this helps and feel free to ask any questions if needed.

I have never seen a car that you have to run more than a pint through the system and it still showing signs of trapped air. Is this something you have seen? We bled them for two hours and still making squishing sound on rear passenger side when bleeder is opened. All other lines being driver side and passenger front make no sound when bleeder is opened. We have ran a quart through passenger rear and still making a flowing noise when you pump the brake and hold it and open that rear bleeder. Should I just keep doing it even if runs into half a day and a gallon of fluid?

Hello again.

Yes, I have noticed a few times cars that were difficult to bleed. Is it just fluid coming out when bleeding or are you still noticing air bubbles? Hope this helps and thanks again for using 2CarPros.

Just fluid but makes a squishing sound when you open right rear bleeder, but no air comes out.

It sounds like you may have the caliper on wrong if no air comes out. Can you take a pair of vise grips and gently close of the rubber line to the caliper to see if the brake pedal is better? Also recheck your work of the caliper mount here is a diagrams to help us.

The pad has a notch that must be installed correctly or you will have low pedal.

This video show the job being down on a different car but the process is the same, it shows how to use the tool.

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what happens.
