My brake line snapped when I had to brake hard to avoid an accident. A friend told me he could fix it for the cost of parts, about $50. I drive it there and the next day he said $150 cause he had to hook it up to machine to reset the ABS system. Then the next day he said the knob to bleed to brakes (caliper?) was broken off so he had to order a new one of those, and now this bill is $200. This is my sisters boyfriend who was supposed to be hooking me up...how much should this repair cost and is this an accurate diagnosis?
