My brakes seem to kick back on me lately. It seems to only happen when I'm going around a bend. Halfway around the bend I feel a kickback. It happens almost every time that I'm going around a bend by my house. I know it's not the smartest for any vehicle, but I'm trying to figure out what's wrong and fix it in the cheapest way possible. I'm disabled and very low income, with kids on top of it, so I can't really afford to have a mechanic take a look and/or fix it. Thanks for any help figuring this out.

I am sorry to hear about your troubles, it sounds like the ABS system is kicking on which is common when one of the front bearing hubs is going out. do you hear a slight hum from the from end while driving? If so, this is a sign the bearing hub is bad. What happens is the ABS wheel speed sensor cannot read the reluctor wheel in the hub because it moves off center. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

No, there is no humming noise at all, but one of my tires on the front is a little bad due to a messed-up alignment. I do need to replace my front tires for sure. Seems like a regular thing lately since we keep getting new tires without getting an alignment. Which I know is a bad idea in the first place. But no, there is no humming at all.

Okay, I would lift the front of the vehicle and grasp the top and bottom of the wheel to check for play, sometime when the bearing hubs go out, they don't make noise. This guide can help:
