I was away on a trip, is there a way to check if my car was driven while I was away, outside the obvious?

What is meant by the obvious? I am assuming you mean by recording the mileage. Other than that, there isn't any way I know of to monitor car usage. Oh and by the way, the Z3 was not produced in 2007, maybe you meant Z4.
