I was told by the dealer that I have a leak in my water pump. I was told that the water pump and thermostat would need to be replaced. I was quoted $1100. This seems high. Also does the thermostat have to be replaced when the water pump is replaced?

$1100 is difficult to justify for a pump and t-stat. The t-stat might need replacement with the pump as it is electrically integrated and the elements do fail. I would get other quotes for the work.
