When my car is sitting in traffic for a sustained period, the engine performs very roughly, and then cuts out. The car starts up again without a problem, and when I'm driving normally, or even at speed the engine performs fine.

Any ideas?

Is the check engine light on? What does the dealer say regarding this issue?
