1994 BMW 840

Hello. My BMW has been standing for about a year while i've been away. I have started it,( it started first time like it had been used every day !) On taking it up the road for a test drive, my abs brake warning light and asc light have come on ! The disc's and pads were new when i parked it up. Would this be a dirty sensor issue ? I thank you for your help.

1994 BMW cars can be scanned for fault codes with the proprietary BMW software or with some of the aftermarket stuff like Autologic or Baum. This would be the first step in a good diagnostic as you dont want to just throw things at it, right?
