2002 BMW 745 Parking brake malfuction

I had my water pump replaced. Next day the top hose popped off. 1 hour later its put back on and when I start the car the parking brake malfunction light is on and it feels like the parking brake is aqpplied. I cant get it to go off. Help !

The electronically actuated parking brake might require more help than I can give you, other than to take it back to the mechanic. The E65 bodystyle cars are not at all user friendly, the car is complex and there are not any user serviceable items you as an owner can work on without special tools and training, sorry, I dont make the news, I just report it.
