Yes! It is a detailed job which involves removing the rear seat, seat back and parcel shelf to get to the motor.
It appears as though German engineering isn't what it used to be. They put a plastic gear in the motor which wears out over time. The fix is to get to the plastic gear and either replace it with another plastic gear or simply flip the gear 180 degrees. There is a metal gear available but it is very expensive (around $300).
