2008 BMW 535i Oil Change intervals

I understand that intervals between BMW oil changes can be as much as 15,000 to 20,000 miles. My display panel inicates that I have 7000 miles before I should change the oil. Do I have to wait until the remaining mileage is up or can I change the oil now?

You probably did not come to this site to ask permission to do an oil change, I think the interval requested by the manufacturer is adequate for most driving conditions. Of course you can do what you feel is right, but due to the cost of the oil and the level of protection you may or may not be getting by changing it more often, I would go the 7k before I would change it.
