Vehicles now days go 200,000 or more. There are many different variables that determine how long it will last. Driving conditions, the way it is driven, general maintenance care etc.
To me, general things don't really count. Tires, battery, brakes, shocks etc.
The way I figure it is when my maintenance cost exceed a monthly car payment it is time to go.
If you put $2000 into your car for a repair but this lasted for two years... That is only about $84 a month..... Not even close to a car payment.
