Steering problem
1989 BMW 325 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual lots miles

Hi,
The problem that I have is when I turn sharp to the left ( like when I make a u turn) I let go of the wheel and the car then wants to pull to the left. The pull wont go away until I turn the wheel to the right. So far I have replaced the control arm bushings with urethane ones and I just replaced the steering rack. I inspected the tie rods and ball joint and they seem to be good, nothing loose and nothing binding. Is there something that I might have overlooked?

It could be something bound in the shock tower bushing. At that age the shock tower bushings can be worn and cause this issue, I suggest replacement and possibly the strut inserts too as long as it is apart.
