1995 BMW 318ti 91,000 miles 4 cyl. when i'm driving it's fine... when i go to stop or reduce speed because of traffic, the idle drops down past the 0 mark and cuts off... At times while my foot is on the brake, the idle race up and down. This dangerous problem has happened repeatedlyA during weekend errands while driving through the holland tunnel in new york. A computer check shows no electric problem. Please advise. I thought it could be the timing belt or fuel injectiors... please advise.
