The hydraulic lash adjusters are noisy when they don't pump up, replacement is the only sure way to repair this. You might be able to get it to stop if you use some sort of oil treatment or you could try this, allow engine to reach full operating temperature and then go for a drive where you can hold it in a lower gear to allow the engine RPMs to go to 4k and just hold it there for several minutes, Volvo uses the same lash adjusters and this was a trick I learned from them, it does not always work.
