Hi,
We need to back track in the circuit and find out where you do have power. Clearly you don't have it at the motor but we need to find where it is.
Here is a wiring diagram and I would suggest just jumping back and making sure you have power on both sides of the fuse. If you do, then go to the relay and make sure you have it coming out on the two wires that are going to the speed control/resistor.
Once you find where you have power, then I would just cut the wire and run a new wire to bypass any issues. The point I am getting to is I suspect you have a wiring or connection issue.
