So I was told for a Chevrolet v6 engine the block casting numbers for identifying what year the motor is and other information was on passenger side behind distributor. I added a picture of what I found. But these numbers do not correspond to anything. Thoughts and ideas? Thanks.

I am looking for the motors manufacture date. I am not entirely sure it is the original motor for the truck. I am going to be doing a Re-build on a core motor and just wanted to know how to identify manufacture date. I do not have a core yet. Thanks.
