Hi,

My car belt squeaks only when I apply brakes to slow down speed. It squeaks and when I apply a little acceleration it stops means when I apply brakes 800 RPM's. Then apply acceleration to 900 RPM's it stops squeaking. I am adding a video I guess it will help me out. And yeah I installed a new water pump pulley and new belts two times. Problems solved for three months then came back again.

Hey, I just turned headlights on high beam and blower on full (A/C off) and then belts starts squeaking. Could you guide please? I suspect that alternator connection is bad/corroded or alternator is going bad. Can you please suggest any diagnosis?

Hi,

Since it got worse with the added electrical load, that leads me to believe the alternator belt is loose. I don't have specific technical information on this vehicle because it isn't offered in the US, but that is the most likely cause.

Try tightening the alternator belt and let me know if the sound goes away. Also, while watching your video, it appears that the water pump pulley is moving around as if there is a bearing issue. Please check the pulley for tightness and make sure there isn't any play in the pump shaft. One other thought, make sure there is no coolant leaking from the pump and getting onto the belt.

I attached a pic from your video and circled the pulley I'm referring to.

Also, here is a link you may find of interest. Take a look through it and see if anything helps.

Again, I suspect the alternator belt is loose. Check that and let me know the results.

Take care,
Joe

Hi,

Let me know what happens. Also, check to make sure there isn't excessive play in the pulley. The way it is moving may be the problem.

Let me know.
Joe
