I had just replaced the water pump on my car and replaced the belt as well.
When I first turn the car on it sounds like the belt is squealing, when I start driving up the road it gets louder then after maybe twenty to thirty minutes of it running it will stop. Going up the highway it will randomly start to make noise and stop again. This is really annoying and I cannot figure put why it is doing it. Any ideas?

Check belt for alignment but recommended replacement for belt and tension-er is 60,000 miles, they lose tension and wear these are not like older belts there is a gauge that must be used to measure wear on belts. If pump was bad it got coolant on belt anyhow so it is bad. But check alignment as well.
