My beeper keeps going off for no reason. Not all the time, just intermittent. It’s not the tire sensor, because we have none on the tires. It beeped even when we did have them. Where is this beeper located? I want to silence it by removing it or just taping it so you can’t hear it as loudly.

Welcome to 2CarPros.

Do any lights come on when you hear it? Is this the type of beep that would happen if the door was open, a the car was overheating and so on?

As far as removing a component to stop it, if I recall correctly, it is made audible through the radio on this vehicle.

Let me know.

The Check Engine Lights stay on. I have had them turned off before, but they stay on all the time. It beeped even when they weren't on. It sounds like a different beep than the one that beeps for the open door alert. Please advise as this is so aggravating to hear. Thanks

Welcome back:

If you can, have the computer scanned to identify diagnostic trouble codes. If the light is on, there are codes stored. That should point me in the right direction. Most parts stores will do it for free. Here is a quick video showing how it is done:

I suspect that what is causing the light to be on may be causing the beeping noise.

Let me know.
