Can I leave my car in a garage for nine weeks while I travel? Will the battery still work? New car two months old.

I would not park it for that long without a battery tender (not a charger) on it. Modern vehicles have a lot of systems that draw tiny amounts of current. Together it all adds up and you can have a dead battery in four to five weeks. A good tender can save a lot of headaches. Do not unhook the battery, just attach the tender and let it work.

Give it a good wash and wax, attach the tender, put a few cotton balls dipped in peppermint oil around it and in it to keep any mice/rats from taking up residence.
