The car was dead when returning from getting coffee no ticking, no lights, no bells, dead. had a friend jump me started right up without her car even on. drove two miles and car shuts off while driving. When getting ready to jump start I notice the positive terminal is hitting the inside hood so much it has actually burned through the metal and making a hole. I moved the battery so it not hitting the hood but every time i hit a bump the car shuts down and wont start without a jump.

I concur with JOHNNY G.JR on his ideas.

Is the battery mechanically tied down (like it is supposed to be)? Maybe it is still jumping up and grounding somewhere else.
