After about a month of owning my vehicle, the battery started to drain overnight. Changed out the battery. Checked all the fuses and relays. Checked the alternator, nothing. Still drains. I have no idea where the drain is coming from. Please help.

Hello,

Battery losing charge overnight or in a short period of time is due to having excessive parasitic draw (current drain) in the electrical system. It could be due to a light staying on (like a glove box or cargo area light), it can also happen for having a faulty window switch or any other electrical component.

This vehicle should have less than 30 milliamps of parasitic draw with the ignition switched of and all system being off.

To find out what is causing the drain you will have to use a multimeter to observer the amp draws as you unplug different fuses.

Here is a helpful video that runs thru what needs to be done:

Please let me know of any questions.
Thank you.
