The most common cause of this type of noise after replacing parts is the metal splash shield got bent and is rubbing on the edge of the rotor. Another source of a crunching noise is failure to use special high-temperature brake grease around the rotor's center hole. That crunching occurs more commonly from the front, and mostly when cornering, not when going straight.
