When you say it requires you to put it back what does that mean? Do you have to actually move the shifter back to drive or do you have to put it to neutral and then back to drive?

Okay. So we need to check for codes and go from there. The main reasons this would happen are the pressure is not sufficient or the control module is putting it in Neutral.

Let's see if there are codes and go from there. We don't have this vehicle in the USA so I won't be able to provide specific info but based on the codes we will have a better idea as to what the issue is.

So if there are no codes then we need have either a fluid pressure issue when this happens or a control module issue. Unfortunately we will need to monitor both when this happens. If you don't have tools to do this, then we will need to have someone check it out. If you do this, then we will need to show them the issue because more then likely they will just return it if they cannot get it to do it.
