I was told casing had crack. I took transmission out sandblasted found no cracks. Wondering if vent tube has "0" ring or check valve inside? I slip transfer case cannot find any cracks. Also, new drain plug on oil pan and it leaks. Can anyone explain this to me please? It has forward gears.

What is the actual issue? Fluid leakage? Missing reverse?

Vent tube is just tubing with the vent hat on top to keep critters and water out.

Leaking drain plug sounds like the threads are damaged and you either need a new crush washer or if the threads are real bad pull the pan and re-thread the drain for an oversized plug.
