What are the steps to replace thermostat?

Remove bumper
Remove a/c condenser and p/s cooler
Remove core support/ radiator/fan assembly.
Remove timing belt
Remove thermostat
Assemble in reverse order.

You should go ahead and replace the water pump while you are in there.
