Hi! I took my car for an oil change 2,000 miles ago, and I just checked the oil level 2 days ago because my family saw a leak in the driveway and my car has become very loud.
The oil level is about 1/3" to 1/2" above the maximum fill line on the dipstick.
I spoke to a foreign car specialist, and he told me that if they used an Audi oil filter my car takes 4.3 quarts, but if they used a generic (which I believe they did, as my bill lists a 1393 filter) then it takes only 3.7 quarts. They billed me for 5.
Is this enough extra oil that I should be concerned about damage to my car? What should I get checked out? Thanks!

Hi there,

regardless of which filter is used, they should correct the oil level so it reads on the full mark and not above, I would return it to them to do this, it will take them only a few minutes to do this,
