Hi,
I need help figuring out how to fix my dashboard. I think the Gage Cluster or the computer screen that shows fluid levels, gas consumption, etc. Has become invisible. It usually lights up bright red with yellow signs, however it is dark now. Although with some sunlight I can see the messages on the computer screen but it does not light up.
If it is a bad gage cluster, is it a way to fix it, or do I have to replace it?
Thank you,
Levan

There issno much info about the cluster, I recommend to post the number showed on the TAG, located on the back of the instrument cluster.

In most cases your problem can be:
A) Backlight iluminator burned out
B) Flex-cable need to be replaced/adjusted

Option A) is the cheapper one, so I recommend you to start checking for some signs of burned lamps or diodes. Again I have no idea wich dash you are talking about.

If that is not your case, or not diodes or lamps acting as backlight iluminators, try to connect the dash back to the vehicle and then with a very soft piece of plastic or better use a Qtip try to apply slightly pressure along the flex contact.
