Hello,
I can't make a PDF file out of the instructions, but you can click on the images to copy.
1. I would replace the battery every 3 to 4 years and you can load test it like a regular 12-volt car battery, an auto parts store can do this for you.
2. It would be difficult to tell when the battery is getting weak, the best way is to observe electrical components in the car act strangely indicating a low voltage situation. There might be a warning sign from the computer the 12-volt battery is malfunctioning. This will depend on the manufacturer's software.
3. If the 12-volt battery goes dead the car will not operate.
4. It did not mention the radio, seat etc memories having to be reset, so this will be trial and error, but I would assume it will.
5. The reason places like AutoZone don't want to do this service could be because not all of their employees are trained to perform such repairs.
6. I try to stay with name brand battery replacements such as interstate, AC Delco etc. I don't see in the instructions on why you will need the VIN number, did you call the dealer to get a battery and they asked?
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
