Anti-theft system was triggered and after replacing the battery with a new one the dashboard lights are flickering the radio will not turn off when the car is off and the anti-theft system symbol is lit up. After leaving the key in the ignition on the on position for 10 to 15 minutes the anti-theft symbol will go away eventually and then I'm able to start my car but as soon as I turn it off, I have to go through the process all over again.

It sounds like you have a voltage surge that took out the BCM, but to be sure let's run a CAN scan. you can get a CAN scanner (Controller Area Network) which will work on most cars from Amazon.

here is a video to show you how:

Here is how to change out the BCM, you can get a preprogrammed unit by searching Google or Ebay. It looks like it is under the dash on the driver's side. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

Hi. Thank you so much for getting back so quickly. Is that the same as a code reader?

No, this reader doesn't the complete CAN which includes the BCM, HVAC, ABS, SRS and more. Is it the next level reader. The repair industry is moving toward these kinds of scanners.
