Anti-theft light flashing, immobilizer?

Battery replaced by previous owner. Fob is still working but the car won't turn on. Radio doesn't seem to turn on either. Backlight on dash illuminates but no warning or indicator lights show. Starter replaced.

It sounds like the security system is enabled but we should start by checking the fuse with the key on. Also, can I ask if the original key is still with the car or is there a replacement key tried to start the car?

If the fuse is okay with the original key, can I ask if the security light is flashing? If so, I would disconnect the battery overnight to help reset the system.
