Which gas companies sell best fuel?

When I lived in Washington State, my auto mechanic said the Chevron sold the highest quality gas. So in moving to Hawaii, I assumed Chevron sold the same quality fuel, but just found out recently that especially for the state of Hawaii, each company creates a different quality product and that "Chevron is the absolute worst here, with Shell being by far the best". I have tried googling and looking through this site for any reviews about this but haven't found anything. Does anyone know anything about this, or where to look for factual data on this?

Sunoco makes very good fuel but I don't have it where I live. I go with Amaco (BP) or Shell. Nothing else.

Family members and friends alike have stated that they have a tendency to get a check engine light if they use BP gasoline, although this has never happened to me. Even though I'll use BP in a pinch, I prefer Shell gasolines in all my vehicles, they run cleaner and seem to get better mileage.

Tighten the gas cap and you will not get the check engine lamp light for gas cap.

What do you mean GOOD?

Good gas has many forms.

Smells good, nah.
Pure, no water, yes.
Has correct Octane, sure.
Clean and filtered, yes.
Engine runs good on it, sure.
Ive run Arco for over 20 years, on 10 veh. Drove 400, 00 miles or more.
Not one bad motor or injector,
not a single fuel related problem.

Some get all religious about fuel. Dont please.

If you have a specific problem state it?
We can work that. But fuel quality is regulated.
(smog issues, yah, not ignored!)

did you know in most areas all the fuel comes from a single source tank ( they share it)
and when pumped in to THEIR delivery truck, in goes the additives.

So all we get, is the same gas but diff additives.

So now we argue the pros and cons of the additives.
Ahh, they are secret.

So no arguments.

That is true in many places in USA.

Im a mech. That is my opinion.
