I have been working on cars ever since I was a little tyke, wrencing on my dad's disabled car. At 12 I replaced the CV joints on a 1981 pontiac Phoenix, and I was hooked. I had replaced spark plugs, changed oil, recharged an A/C system, and rebuilt carbs long before that. At 14 I replaced a transmission in a Buick Regal. Replaced an engine in a 1984 Mustang at 15. We weren't poor, but not able to afford new cars, or to take the ones we had to the shop. Plus I LOVED wrenching on them cars!
I am not a certified mechanic, but look forward to helping as much as I possibly can. Most of my experience is with GM vehicles, as my father worked for Gm for over 30 years.
Right now my Dad has a 1994 chevy S10 with a few problems, and while looking for help on the ABS system I found this AWESOME forum. I made a $5 donation right away and am already feeling like I am amongst friends.
