My AC is not putting out cool air feels kinda warm . Should the system be recharged ? I have been told that it is a closed system and shouldn't have to be recharged . If it needs charged does it mean it has a leak ?

if it needs recharging then yes there is a leak. you can take it to a shop that does ac repair and they can hook it to a machine to see if it needs charging and to see how bad the leak is. if the freon is has not leaked out then you have another problem. (i.e.), high or low pressure switch, compressor clutch just to name a couple.
