2000 Ranger XLT Door Ajar on

The door ajar light is staying on in my 2000 Ranger XLT and of course the dome light stays on as well. This is the super cab model (2 doors and 2 suicide doors). Where do I find the sensor for this and how do I correct it. I hope this is a familiar problem and someone has a solution. Thanks in advance.

I too had the same issue with my 98 Ranger. If you spray some WD40 in the latch of your door it should fix this issue.

I did as suggested and freed the little switch at the latch with no success. After hours of testing I discovered that a wire under the dash had worn and gone to ground. Have door panels that come off on command now. Thanks
