When I was driving home the other day, all of the dashboard lights came on, including traction, check engine, battery and everything else lit up. Now it wont start or even turn over. When we hooked it up to another car, it took about 10 mins and it finally started, when we unhooked the cables the car immediately died.

You may have an alternator problem but the first thing you need to do is have your battery charged and then tested. Once you have a solid battery, have the charging system tested.
