1969 Alfa Romeo Spider 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

Brake pedal is spongy, went to bleed brakes and no fluid came out of the bleed ports

I come across this problem quite frequently on older cars, the road grime builds up in the bleeder, you have to remove the bleeder completely, and make sure it is clean, if it is clean and you still have fluid, you must have a bad master cylinder, but I doubt it.
